Every morning, our chef-innkeeper prepares a four-course gourmet breakfast from scratch. Each course is plated individually and served on heirloom china in the grand dining room of an 1847 mansion — under a crystal chandelier, beside a fireplace that has been warming this room for nearly 180 years.

This is not a buffet. It is not continental. It is a professionally prepared meal by a classically trained chef who spent decades in some of the world's leading hospitality kitchens before choosing to cook for twenty guests instead of two hundred.

The menus change daily. Repeat guests never have the same breakfast twice. And the presentation on vintage china, crystal stemware, and silver service reflects the same care that goes into every course.

Every Morning, Four Courses

The Starter

A house-made seasonal fruit smoothie to begin — a vibrant, palate-opening course that signals this morning will be different from any breakfast you have had before.

Seasonal Fruit

Fresh seasonal fruit, artfully arranged and served with house-made granola and yogurt. Not a fruit cup from a container — hand-selected, hand-cut, and plated with the same care as every other course.

The Main

The centerpiece of the morning. Eggs Benedict on house-made potato cakes with hollandaise. Savory crepes, French toast, or whatever the chef has planned — different every day, always from scratch.

Dessert

A sweet finish — blueberry pancake stacks with warm compote, date biscuits with honey butter, or a delicate pastry that belongs in a patisserie window. This course is where guests realize they are in a chef's hands.

The Grand Dining Room

Breakfast is served at a mahogany table that seats up to fourteen guests beneath a crystal chandelier — the table itself was handcrafted for the mansion by returning guests who were master woodworkers, honoring the original chestnut table that stood in this room for over a century.

When we have a full house, we rotate guests between the grand dining room and the intimate parlor so that everyone experiences breakfast in this room during their stay.

What is breakfast like at The Reynolds Mansion?

Breakfast at The Reynolds Mansion is a four-course gourmet meal prepared from scratch each morning by our classically trained chef-innkeeper. Courses include a homemade smoothie, seasonal fruit, a plated main course, and dessert. Everything is served on fine china in the grand dining room. It is included with every stay and served daily at 9:00 AM.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are easily accommodated. Please contact us before your stay to discuss specific dietary needs so our chef can plan accordingly.

Is breakfast the same every day?

No. Menus change daily and rotate with the seasons. Multi-night guests will never have the same breakfast twice during their stay. Our chef draws on decades of professional kitchen experience to create menus that feature seasonal, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Returning guests often come back for specific dishes they fell in love with on a previous visit.
